FIELD: TV transmitting tubes production. SUBSTANCE: method provides for thermal evaporation in mixture of oxygen and water steam of based on lead oxide material, that has halogens, red lead and carbon-containing ingredients. Then produced layer is treated with hydrogen sulfide and oxygen ions. In the case, minimum concentration of red lead depends on definite ratio of halogens and carbon-containing ingredients. EFFECT: increase of usable devices production due to increased sensitivity in spectral range of 600 - 700 nm, that defines quality of color rendering, decrease of residual images and increase of electrical break-down strength. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
