FIELD: materials handling. SUBSTANCE: vessel 2 to be used in metering is evacuated by delivering pressure in ejector 12 connected to circular chamber. The latter is located concentrically around metering vessel 2 communicating with the vessel through adjacent wall in form of perforated cylinder, perforations being closed from inside by filter in form of skirt. Metering vessel 2 is loaded to level transmitter 25, with lower gate closed. Metered out amount is cut off by upper gate 3. When metered out amount is discharged, pressure in ejector 12 drops and atmospheric air, getting into metering vessel 2, cleans filter. Material can be added into vessel by means of feeder 18 through pipe 16 passing through coaxial holes in gates 3,4. Gates 3,4 are made in form of alternating movable and fixed prisms.
