FIELD: multistage centrifugal apparatuses with countercurrent flow through its separate stages of aqueous and organic solutions in hydrometallurgy, medical and food industries. SUBSTANCE: unit includes several similar stages interconnected by transfer branch pipes of 1,2,3-single-stage centrifugal extractors. Each stage consists of mixing chamber 4, chambers 7, 8 for collection of separated phases, rotor 14 and transporting device 16. Each mixing chamber 4 has emergency branch pipe made in the form of lower elbow 23 and upper elbow 24. Lower elbow 23 is connected with low bottom region of mixing chamber 4 of one stage 2 and located below level of its bottom, and upper elbow 25 is connected with upper region of mixing chamber of other stage 1 in zone located above level of transporting device 16, but below the level of chambers 7, 8 of collection of separated phases. In this case, emergency branch pipe 32 on stage 1 outlet in direction of flow of heavy phase is secured by lower elbow 31 and on stage 3 outlet in flow of light phase, upper elbow of emergency branch pipe 33 is secured in zone located above the level of upper elbow of the remaining emergency branch pipes.
