FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has alternating voltage generator 5, winding 6 connected to generator outputs, threshold member 9, warning device 10 connected to the output of threshold member 9, steady voltage direct current source 13, board 14 made of nonmagnetic nonconducting material. Winding 6 is placed inside of board 14 mounted between the storage cells and input 17 of threshold member 9 is connected to output 18 of generator 5. Generator 5, threshold member 9 and stable current source 13 are arranged inside of board 14. Upon increasing the temperature of storage cell electrodes higher than 70 80 C, generator output voltage rises inducing abrupt change of state of threshold member 9 and warning device 10 displays alarm signal. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in controlling storage battery state.
