FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: analysis of susceptibility of nickel-cadmium accumulators to heat acceleration, which is combined with analysis indicator, showing quantitative assessment of development of dendrites inside separation of accumulator, which contribute to creation of heat acceleration. Device includes generator (1) of alternating sine-wave voltage, inspected accumulator (2) connected to outputs of generator; control and analysis unit (3) connected to input and output of generator, to input of testing conditions unit (4), to input of memory unit (5), to output of indication unit (6). Control and analysis unit (3) changes frequency of generator (1) in compliance with the specified algorithm. Sine-wave current flowing through accumulator (2) and polarisation voltage of accumulator are supplied to control and analysis unit (3) for calculation of ohmic resistance of accumulator. At low value of ohmic resistance the indication unit (6) shows quantitative assessment of development of dendrites inside separation of accumulator 2, the higher the value is, the more the accumulator is prone to heat accumulation.

EFFECT: possibility of analysing nickel-cadmium accumulators for susceptibility to heat acceleration.
