FIELD: by-product coke industry. SUBSTANCE: furnace has a non-heated chamber of batch loading, a press-pusher, a chamber for thermal treatment with warmed up partitions and anchor columns with spring-actuated assemblies for reinforcing the partition lining. In order to enhance the service life of the furnace the loading section is placed directly on the lining of the warmed up partition. Its height is 2.3-3.0 of the width of the chamber for thermal treatment. The furnace is additionally equipped with horizontal stop beams rigidly connected with supporting columns. The beams have spring-actuated assemblies contacting with the upper face part of the loading section. EFFECT: enhanced service life at the expense of decreasing the level of stretching tensions in the fireproof masonry. 1 dwg, 3 tbl
