FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: vertical continuous coke oven has heating walls, upper and lower horizontal flues with ceilings, metal section, regenerators of heating walls. Ceiling of upper heating flue is built in the form of suspended roof made of refractory bricks. Bricks are attached to horizontal metal hollow beam. Hollow beam is located above refractory bricks of suspended roof in brick laying of ceiling of heating wall at distance from roof of upper heating flue equal to 0.7-0.8 of height of brick laying of ceiling of heating wall. Hollow beam communicates on one side with device for forced air supply and on the other side with regenerators of heating wall. Suspended roof is positioned with clearance with respect to metal section of chamber for thermal treatment. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
