FIELD: quantum electronics; measurement engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method can be used for creation of optical radars, range finders and laser radiation guidance systems. Method is based upon formation of target's image, registration of target's image, amplification, phase conjugation and formation of powerful signal directed onto target. Image of target is registered in form of change in local parameters of medium. To form assigning wave, center of curvature of spherical surface of assigning wave is brought in coincidence with target's point of image by means of laser generation. After that and before forming powerful signal directed onto target, phase conjugation of assigning wave is carried out for even number of times accompanied by simultaneous amplification.
EFFECT: improved range; higher degree of security.
