FIELD: testing engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises generating vortex currents on the surface of the part by means of rotating in the field of a permanent magnet, measuring the angle between the longitudinal axis of the permanent magnet and plane passing through the axis of rotation of the permanent magnet and axis of rotation of the part for a given values of the rotation speed, and comparing the similar angles for the reference part for the same values of frequency. The difference in the angles measured indicates the presence of mechanical defects in the part.
EFFECT: enhanced precision.
