FIELD: instrumentation engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method that can be used in developing float instruments such as rate gyroscopes is based on compensating for sensing element mass by buoyant force of supporting liquid and on releasing sensing element from impact of alignment supports. After that action of alignment supports is periodically recovered and sensing element is aligned relative to instrument case by returning alignment supports to initial position. Then sensing element is released from impact of alignment supports.
EFFECT: reduced adverse moments on sensing element suspension spin axis.
