FIELD: inertial navigation, applicable at determination of angle orientation of moving objects.
SUBSTANCE: the system has three meters of angular velocity with mutually orthogonal sensitivity axes and an on-board computer, whose inputs are connected to the angular velocity meters. Besides, the system uses a fourth angular velocity meter, whose output is connected to the input of the on-board computer. The first and fourth angular velocity meters are installed in single-axle rotary mechanisms with the axes of rotation parallel with the sensitivity axes of the second and third angular velocity meters. The inputs of the rotary mechanisms are connected to the outputs of the on-board computer.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of determination of object orientation by the gimballess inertial system.
