FIELD: equipment for measuring the deformation in a solid using change in magnetic properties.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises coil connected with one support and armature connected to another support. Coil and armature are installed in telescopic protective case. Measuring coil winding ends connected to recorder pass through protective cover. Coil winding is formed so that gap is defined between winding loops defined by single-mode light guide provided with outer coating made of magnetostriction material. Winding ends are correspondingly joined with additionally added double-beam beam-splitter prism and optical parallel-sided plate by means of light guides. Double-beam beam-splitter prism inlet is linked to optical radiation generator. Photodetector is installed between optical parallel-sided plate and recorder.

EFFECT: increased measurement reliability under the action of electromagnetic fields.
