FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: operating and reference fibers of fiber-optical interferometer are positioned in direction of flow. Operating fiber is pulse-heated by means of special pulse radiation heater. Thermal mark formed is brought on reference fiber. Output signal of interferometer starts pulse radiation heater over feedback circuit again, and process is repeated. Sequence of pulses formed at interferometer output carries information of velocity of running-on liquid flow. EFFECT: higher measurement results. 4 cl, 1 dwg
