FIELD: explosive substances, inorganic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for production of explosive substances and gunpowder, and to branches of industry wherein concentrating of spent sulfuric acid from its diluted solutions is carried out. Method for regeneration of spent sulfuric acid in production of explosive substances gunpowder involves its concentration by fuel gases, treatment of exhausting gases by treatment with ammonia solution or ammonia hydroxide at pH = 5.5-6.7. After attainment the content of formed ammonium salts 30-40 weight% the solution is recovered to the parent sulfuric acid before the concentrating step. Method provides enhancing the treatment degree from sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide and decreasing waste in the process.
EFFECT: improved method of regeneration of sulfuric acid.
