FIELD: microwave engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed diode attachment device has case with contact member, spring-loaded rod held down by contact cap in the form of screw, two collets of which first one is disposed on case and second collet, on spring-loaded rod. Novelty is introduction of coupling in the form of insulating bushing installed between two collets. Coupling has drilling to receive one of collets; outer surface of coupling is connected to union nut through split joint. Other collet is disposed in drilling of other union nut which is also connected to insulating coupling through split joint.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability due to eliminating bending stresses on diode while ensuring reliable electric contact and heat transfer.
