FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention may be used for soldering tips of rail electrical connections to rail surface. Gun body incorporates electromagnetic device including core made up of two cylinders and housing spring performing several functions. It presses electrode element against surface of soldering. It doubles as electromagnet winding to push core and to conduct operating current. Ring arranged on core face surface delays core breakaway to facilitate cooling of fused solder, hence, to prevent its spitting from soldering zone in motion of electrode element. Closure of two contacts and feed of operating current occur solely with pressed electrode element, contracted spring and certain retraction of central core with lock sleeve. In soldering, switch-on button is retained in ON position. Optimum gap in soldering is maintained by displacing tapered cylinder-holder and observing visually indicator out stroke from body hole.
EFFECT: decreased electrode withdrawal force.
