HYDROACOUSTIC TRANSDUCER Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B06B1/06 G01S7/52

Abstract SU 1840739 A1

FIELD: physics, acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: hydroacoustic transducer comprises cylindrical active element assembled from piezoceramic prisms and prism-inserts from passive material, which has reduced Young modulus less than Young modulus of piezoceramics. Prism-inserts are installed in areas of distribution antinodes along circumference of normal component of higher mode vibrational speed, and their number corresponds to number of vibrations higher mode.

EFFECT: higher uniformity of frequency characteristic in radiation mode.
