FIELD: hydroacoustic engineering.

SUBSTANCE: technical result is achieved by the fact that device comprises cylindrical rings, some of which are intended for operation at zero mode of mechanical oscillations, while others - at the first mode of mechanical oscillations along cylinder circumference. Cylindrical rings included in converter are made of active material with different speed of sound propagation for rings of appropriate mode selected in ratio Co = C1 √2, where Co is speed of sound propagation in material that serves for manufacturing of ring intended for operation at zero mode, and C1 is speed of sound propagation in material that serves for manufacturing of ring intended for operation at the first mode.

EFFECT: minimisation of converter radiation into back space in working range of frequencies.
