FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to quantum electronics. The disclosed electron-beam pumped gas laser has a discharge chamber in housing of which there are windows for inlet of a beam of charged particles from a pre-ionisation device and radiation output which are placed in the body and are connected to the electrode power supply system, one of which lies at the aperture of the window for inlet of the beam of charged particles and is perforated. The laser also has a magnet system for holding the beam of charged particles within the active volume of the discharge chamber. Electrodes are merged with the magnet system for holding the beam of charged particles. Each electrode is formed by a set of parallel and insulated mini-resistors made from material with high magnetic permittivity and high resistivity, and is connected to the power supply system through a current collector which is in form of a permanent magnet or solenoid around the electrode.

EFFECT: high power and efficiency, low radiation divergence and smaller dimensions of the laser.
