FIELD: blasting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of explosives, particularly, granulated trinitrotoluene. Method for granulation of trinitrotoluene consists in cooling dispersed trinitrotoluene in water. Through melt trinitrotoluene, bubbling carbon dioxide gas at excess pressure and volume ratio of gas to product of 0.5-5.0:1. Melt saturated with carbon dioxide is dosed through holes of a basket in form of jets with diameter of 1-1.2 mm into a column with water at variable temperature. Produced granules are separated from water on a vibrating tray with a mesh bottom; wherein for removal of surface moisture air is blown at temperature 20-27 °C.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain granules without internal shrinkage cavities, reduces duration of drying process and energy consumption.
