FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: compression-distraction apparatus has arc-shaped supports with openings 2 formed in the supports, wire holders 3 with wires 4 (or rod holders 3 with rods 5) mounted in the openings, slide 6 with slots 7 for support 1 and with opening 8 for receiving plate 9 fixed with the aid of stop screws 10, slide 6 being mounted on support arcs 1. Plate 9 has openings 11 for the rod holders and longitudinal channel on one of longitudinal ribs and notches 13 on the other rib. Openings 8 in slide 6 has conic portions greater bases of which are located on the opening edges and smaller bases coincide with each other. Two stop screws 10 can contact with the bottom of channel 12, outer wedge - shaped side 14 of arc-shaped support 1 being in contact with the bottom of notch 3. Arc shaped supports 1 can be assembled into rings if necessary with the aid of clamps 15 and coupled with each other with the aid of threaded rods 16. To rotate arc-shaped supports 1 (or rings assembled from them) relative to each other with bone fragments affixed to them, plates 9 of slides 6 fixed to arc-shaped supports 1 are coupled by threaded braces provided with spheric washers located in spheric openings of plates 9 to provide free rotation of the threaded braces relative to plates 9 during rotation of arc-shaped supports 1 relative to each other.
