FIELD: metallurgy, chemical heat treatment of metallic material surfaces. SUBSTANCE: copper coating of ferrous alloy articles is carried out in vibrated fluidized bed in ammonia-base atmosphere using the impregnating mixture which consists of 0.02-0.1 % by weight of cuprous oxide and 99.9-99.98 % by weight of corundum. On heating, the articles are kept at saturation temperatures of 350-450 C for 10-15 min at excessive pressure with subsequent evacuating gaseous products up to pressure of 0.94 atm. EFFECT: increased wear-resisting properties of workpieces.
