RADIAL CLARIFIER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: cleaning natural water and sewage. SUBSTANCE: radial clarifier has reservoir with inlet branch pipe and central pipe with stack of funnels forming taper shelf-type settler. Diameters of holes in funnels increase towards central pipe; funnels are provided with baffle plates. Secured in pipe is swirler. It is good practice to suspend funnels from bearing plate by means of springs and to provide it with vibrator connected to current source through contact interrupter fitted with rod which is engageable with funnel blank. It is good practice to provide peripheral part of reservoir with circular chamber having U-shaped section. EFFECT: increased productivity; enhanced clarification. 4 cl, 3 dwg
