FIELD: sewage purification. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a thin-layer radial type settler, that is dealt with purification of sewage from suspended particles. The settler has: a housing, in which there are blocks made of vertical settling tubular elements adjacent to a peripheral ring tray; a main device to feed polluted water; a peripheral ring tray for removal of clarified water; devices for gathering and removal of settling. Between each of two parallel rows of the settling elements there is a row of paired ring-type settling elements. Butts of the ring type elemental are installed in level with upper and lower butts of the tubular elements. Surfaces of the ring type and the tubular elements are made in the shape of smallsized crimps. The ratio of heights of the butt type and tubular elements is of no less than 1:5; accordingly, and the ratio of width of the blocks to the radius of the housing of the settler makes no more than 1:25. The technical result is an increase of water purification degree and reliability of operation. EFFECT: the invention allows to increase degree of sewage purification and reliability of operation. 5 dwg
