DEVICE FOR NEUTRALIZATION OF EXHAUST GASES OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: cleaning of exhaust gases. SUBSTANCE: device has exhaust pipe line connected with neutralizer and water supply pipe fitted with sprayer; besides that, device has bypass pipe line fitted with two dampers: at inlet and outlet; bypass pipe is provided with soot trap with gas-tight partition, filter and water receiver; device is also provided with drier, additional filter, additional water receiver and water pump. Inlet and outlet of bypass pipe are connected with exhaust pipe line through dampers. Water supply pipe is arranged horizontally in soot trap above gas-tight partition. Arranged under gas-tight partition is water receiver which is brought in communication with water supply pipe through water pump. Filter is arranged between gas-tight partitions and water receiver and gas drier is mounted before neutralizer fitted in bypass pipe line. Secured in lower portion of neutralizer is additional water receiver. Additional filter is located above additional water receiver. Besides that, gas-tight partition is made of corrugated bands forming gas ducts and is inclined to horizontal plane. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
