SELF-CLEANING FILTER FOR FUEL Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: filtration; cleaning of oils and fuel in engines. SUBSTANCE: filter has case with pipe-lines for introducing and removing fuel, and partitions, which separate case to compartments. Filtering pack, system for controlling filter operation, which has pressure transducer with electromagnet valves, are mounted inside each compartment. The electromagnet valves are mounted in pipe-lines for jetting and removing fuel. There are several dirt collectors in each compartment, each of which is placed under compartment of the case. Additional filtering elements are mounted in each compartment of the case in front of pipe-line for removing fuel. These elements are made in form of bellows of water-absorbing material.
