SUBSTANCE: conversion of engine intended for operation on hydrocarbon fuel for hydrogen supply is performed by replacing the hydrocarbon fuel supply system by hydrogen supply system, changing compression ratio to value lying within preset limits and adjusting hydrogen supply system to provide conditions under which air excess coefficient at rated duty corresponds to definite mathematical relationship. This provides complete elimination of backfires in intake manifold. EFFECT: enhanced operation reliability owing to prevention of backfires in intake manifold. 1 dwg
