FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method of electric power generation involves use of solid substance extracted near sea surface as working medium which is submerged in sea, and as it moves towards bottom, its potential energy is converted into electricity; working medium is extracted and conveyed by using part of its potential energy converted into electric energy. Mentioned method is implemented by device that has set of equipment mounted on floating platforms, among pieces of equipment being power unit, working element in the form of flexible component mounting tanks for working medium, gravitational energy accumulator for regeneration of electric energy spent for its generation, combination vessels of transport system composed of cargo sections, soil excavation units, and power transmission lines with craft.
