FIELD: test equipment. SUBSTANCE: gear quadrants 9 and 10 are rotatably driven. Gear quadrant 9 moves rack 6 which rotates platform 2 through boss 7 relative to axle 3. Rotating platform 2 immediately alternately detaches weights 16-18 from base 1 through link 19 embracing pulley 20, nut 22 and rod 23. Specimen 5 is loaded by shock bending under a complex loading cycle. When gear quadrant 9 disengages with rack 6 specimen 5 is unloaded and returned back by falling weights 16-18. After this gear quadrant 10 engages with rack 6 and produces similarly to quadrant 9 the same kind of stresses in specimen 5 but of opposite sign . EFFECT: improved structure. 2 dwg
