FIELD: petroleum chemistry. SUBSTANCE: aluminium oxide is mixed with fluoride, or chloride, or nitrate of alkaline metal atomic ratio alkaline metal to aluminium 0,001-0,01. Prepared paste is extruded, dried, fired at gradually increasing temperature at the rate 200 C/h up to 700 C and fired at 700 C for 1 h. Then temperature is increased up to 1600 C and fired at 1600 C for 1 h. Obtained articles are impregnated with aqueous solution of silver oxalate with addition of cesium hydroxide under vacuum. Solution is separated. Catalyst is placed in hot air flow at 250-270 C to convert silver salt to metallic silver. EFFECT: improved method of catalyst preparing. 2 tbl
