SUBSTANCE: catalyst for vapor-phase epoxidation of olefins containing no allyl hydrogen with oxygen contains 1 to 25 wt % silver, promoting amount of alkali metal, the same of rhenium, 10 to 1000 ppm magnesium oxide (on conversion to Mg metal based on total weight of catalyst) and carrier consisting of alumina (85 wt %) and magnesium oxide (0.001 to 2 wt % on conversion to Mg metal).
