FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: electrode material has, % by weight: iron tungsten-carbide Fe3W3C-Fe4W2C 4-9; Fe6W6C 14-21; iron carbide 4-7; manganese silicides MinSix at 1 Mn3C 1,7 1-3; manganese carbide CoWSi 1,5-2,5; cobalt tungsten-silicide CoWSi 1,5-2,5; and tungsten carbide - the rest. Initial tungsten-containing charge is a tungsten concentrate containing, % by weight: tungsten oxides 45-72; iron 10-25; manganese 2-10; silicon 3-8. Source of tungsten concentrate: scheelite and/or wolfranite concentrate obtained from oxidized ores. To obtain electrode material for electric-spark alloying charged is pressed. Charge has, % by weight: Co 6-10; carbon 7-10, and tungsten-containing component - the rest. Source of tungsten-containing component: tungsten-containing concentrate containing, % by weight: tungsten oxide 45-72; iron oxide 10-25; manganese oxide 2-10, and silicon oxide 3-8. EFFECT: improved method of electrode material making. 2 tbl
