FIELD: fabrication of electrodes of tungsten bearing minerals. SUBSTANCE: charge is prepared by mixing scheelite concentrate, aluminum, sodium nitride, calcium fluorite, and iron oxide. Relation by weight between aluminum and tungsten is maintained at the level of (0.4 0.8):1, and relations between sodium nitride or calcium fluoride and tungsten are (0.2 0.6):1 and (0.15 0.6):1 respectively. Charge feeding in the device, where thermal recovery is performed, is in batches. Weight relation between aluminum and tungsten in the first charge batch is maintained within (0.7 - 0.8):1 as to the total aluminum weight in the charge. Prepared charge is heat recovered in the device of metallic body lined with thermal resistant material. The body has a lid. Bottom of the body is conical with apex directed inside. Openings with plugs placed inside them are located along cone periphery. Heat recovery is conducted under charge burning and melting. EFFECT: complete use of minerals and decreased loss. 3 cl, 1 dwg
