FIELD: composite materials. SUBSTANCE: in a conventional method, charge is prepared by mixing scheelite concentrate with aluminum-containing component, calcium fluoride, and heating additive followed by thermal reduction. According to invention, charge is supplemented with alloying component selected from the group containing cobalt oxide or its mixture with either molybdenum oxide or zirconium oxide. As aluminum-containing component, mixture of aluminum powder with aluminum sawdust - aluminum waste processing product - is used in amount 30 wt %. EFFECT: simplified process and system utilization of mineral material with potentially producing product which may be partially utilized as electrode (metal phase) and partially as lapping past (slag phase). 7 cl, 1 tbl
