FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: novelty of proposed process consists in inoculation of white cast iron with metal magnesium in the amount of 0.1-0.3 per cent of mass of metal. To simplify production process inoculation is performed in open ladle or in foundry mould containing magnesium, for instance, magnesium-nickle or magnesium-silicon alloying composition with content of 0.8-4.0 per cent of metal mass. EFFECT: improved properties of white wear-resistant cast irons. 1 tbl
