FIELD: jet propulsion engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises combustion chamber, solid fuel charge, igniter and cylindrical-conic head 1. Said head is provided with nozzles including central ones 2 on conic portion. Their edges are located away from cone apex at a distance not shorter than diameter of circle on which lie the axes of central nozzles. Rotary nozzles 6 and press-down nozzles 4 are oriented towards combustion chamber. A row of side nozzles 3 is set at an acute angle to generatrix of conic part of head towards apex of cone. Angle of nozzle inclination from longitudinal axis of apparatus increases from rotary to central nozzles while their diameters diminish. The space inside head is divided in two by throttle orifice. Internal space in the zone of rotary nozzles grows wider in the direction from nozzle head apex. Cross-sectional area and total passage areas through nozzles are interconnected by a relation submitted in description and claims.
