FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: kneecap comprises layers 1,2 and 6 and stiffener members in the form of hollow shock-absorbing tubes 3,4 and 5 arranged on side surfaces along kneecap generating lines between layers 1 and 2 and in the loop on its middle formed by hollow shock-absorbing tubes 4 and 5. The latter are arranged in an arcuate pattern along the kneecap generatrices with a provision for being self-aligned along its height and width. Tubes 3,4 and 5 are secured between layers 1 and 2 by means of seams which form pockets. Tubes 3 are positioned as close to one another as possible and secured by a layer of dense cloth applied on the inside of kneecap across the width of tubes 3. EFFECT: improved design. 4 dwg
