FIELD: traumatology; orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: endoprosthesis is made of three members. Femoral component is fitted with stiffening ribs which couple front part with rear condyle one. They also serve for fixing the component in bone. Tibial component has fixing ribs. Patella is fitted with fixing protrusions. All surfaces of ceramic components contacting the spongy bone have porous coating made of the same ceramics. Ribs coupling front and rear parts of femoral and tibial components add rigidity to entire construction. They also serve for fixing the endoprosthesis in bone. Knee joint endoprosthesis is manufactured of biocompatible high-strength ceramics. It preserves functional properties characteristic of natural joint and of physiological conditions of functioning of muscles, ligaments and other elements surrounding the joint.
