FIELD: welding. SUBSTANCE: in process of arc welding in atmosphere of shielding gases several gases or their mixtures with different ionization potentials are fed by pulses. Burst pf pulses is superimposed on welding current during transition period of change of composition of gases or of their mixtures. Frequency of current pulses exceeds at least 4 times frequency of gas feed. EFFECT: improved welding efficiency. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
