FIELD: laser treatment of materials. SUBSTANCE: device for laser treatment has electric motor drive 1 which output shaft carries two gears 2 and 3 with same moduli and different number of teeth. One of gears 2 engages stationary rack 4, and the other one - mobile rack 5 on which end optical focusing system 6 is anchored. With change of distance from optical focusing system 6 to surface of treated material electric motor drive 1 switches on and shaft and gears 2 and 3 put fast on it start rotating. Travel of optical focusing system 6 necessary to re-establish preassigned distance to treated material is derived from difference of travels of electric motor drive with respect to stationary rack 4 and mobile rack 5 and of optical focusing system with reference to base. EFFECT: improved treatment characteristics. 1 dwg
