FIELD: analytical equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has delay unit composed of water containing materials with cavity for receiving core subjected to analysis. Surface of cavity is coated by material easily absorbing low-speed neutrons. Sources of fast neutrons and detector of low-speed neutrons are positioned on different sides of the core inside cavity of delay unit. Detector of low-speed neutrons is connected in series to pulse signal separation unit corresponding to general concentration of water-containing fluid in core and to registration unit. Source of fast neutrons and core subjected to analysis are made as intermovable to provide core exposure to fast neutrons to determine general concentration of mixture of oil with stratal water and then to provide core exposure to thermal-velocity neutrons for determination of concentration of stratal water.
