SUBSTANCE: computers used for personal use or for use in local networks have connection sockets which are intended to add and connect extension boards to computer system bus. This provides additional functions and possibilities. Board has socket and additional board that has identification u board that has identification unit which is connected to board pin that is connected to socket receptacle. This receptacle is connected to power supply when system bus has 32-bit length. When system bus has 16-bit length then said pin is not connected to power supply. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities due to possibility of determination of socket length. 2 cl, 12 dwg
