FIELD: apparatus for separation of two immiscible media of different densities, for example, liquid-liquid, gas-liquid and liquid-suspension; separation of mixtures, such as condensate-glycol and gas-condensate in processing oil gas, cleaning waste water and clarifying vegetable oils and petroleum products. SUBSTANCE: thin-layer settler includes vertical housing with branch pipes for inlet of mixture to be separated and outlet for separated phases; stack of thin-layer elements is arranged inside housing. Branch pipe for inlet of separable medium is fitted at the bottom of apparatus coaxially relative to housing; it is deepened at distance equal to 0.1 to 0.5 of height of apparatus. Thin-player elements are located along axis of apparatus; each thin-layer element is made from plates stacked in form of funnel directed downward. Upper base of lower thin-layer element is blanked-off and upper thin-layer element is connected with housing by means of circular partition mounted in upper portion of apparatus. Mounted additionally between inlet branch pipe and lower thin-layer element is one or several thin-layer elements. Base of thin-layer element which is nearest to inlet branch pipe is connected with upper edge of branch pipe. Angle of inclination of generatrix of thin-layer element relative to level ranges from 30 to 70 deg. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separation of light fraction from heavy one. 4 cl, 2 dwg
