METHOD OF FIXING LOCATION OF ACOUSTIC EMISSION SOURCES IN PIPE-LINES Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

Abstract RU 2010227 C1

FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: in compliance with method pairs of converters are located on pipe-line. Distance between them is established to be multiple of relation of speed of mode of normal component with frequency f1 to value of this frequency. Distance from source to converter is determined by calculation of difference of times of arrival of acoustic signals to converters after completion of phase matching of wave package with shifted central frequencies f1 and f2. Correction of phase matching of signals with frequencies f1 and f2 is conducted with allowance for temperature of pipe-line. Type of source of acoustic emission is estimated by relation of amplitudes of frequency components f1 and f2 of harmonic components of acoustic signals. EFFECT: enhanced informativity of control and authenticity of detection of sources of acoustic emission on line object. 2 cl, 8 dwg
