FIELD: hydroacoustics. SUBSTANCE: method involves positioning of working hydroacoustic measuring equipment, directing of test object with controlled reference signal source towards working hydroacoustic measuring equipment, detection of output signal of this equipment when reference signal source is switched off, switching this source on and monotone increasing quantity of its output power level until output signal of measuring equipment is doubled.
