FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for removal of hydrogen from gas mixture containing hydrogen, oxygen, vapor and aerosols has catalytic device for oxidation of hydrogen accompanied by liberation of heat and is provided with protective arrangement. The latter encompasses catalytic device until a preset temperature is reached after which it automatically releases said catalytic device. Protective arrangement is gas-permeable but basically impermeable for aerosols. Before preset temperature is reached, this protects catalytic device against settling of aerosols contained in gas mixture. EFFECT: improved design. 11 cl, 12 dwg
