WATER BARRIER Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

Abstract RU 2010980 C1

FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: water barrier has overturning vessels with water and a mechanism to actuate the barrier. The mechanism has: a horizontally placed shaft with supporting platforms; plates, that are mounted perpendicularly to the working axis; planks, located on the ends of the shaft and pressed to the plates surface; braces. There are hinges in the middle of the braces. Vessels are horizontally stabilized in pairs by the braces. A horizontally placed grating is located under the vessels with water. To screen by water streams a space between grating and ceiling of the working made of film material capacities with water are situated on both sides of the barrier. The capacities are filled with water and communicate with overturning vessels. To delay evaporating of water its surface is screened by polymer film, floating on the surface. EFFECT: localization of dust and gas blasts in underground mining workings. 3 cl, 4 dwg
