UNION DEVICE Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: equipment of gas and gas condensate wells. SUBSTANCE: union device has unit for collection of solid particles which is body 1 made in the form of truncated cone with radial channels 2 on side generating line of surface 3 and bottom 4 and bearing ring 5. Union device also includes pipe union 6 with axial channel 7. It is so installed in pipe-line 8 that bottom (vertex) 4 faces flow of well fluid. Mechanical particles present in flow which sizes are larger than sizes of radial channels 2 of body 1 are arrested in front of body 1 and are removed with replacement of pipe union 6. Particles of smaller sizes having passed through channels 2 will pass through axial channel 7 of pipe union 6. In this case steady-state operating condition of well is established which excludes clogging of pipe union with solid particles. Thickness of wall of unit for collection of solid particles is selected on the basis of proper relationship. EFFECT: increased reliability of union device located in entrance equipment of well in process of its test. 2 dwg
