FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: device has a cylindrical ultraviolet radiation source and two coaxial cylinders, an inner cylinder made of quarts and outer one made of ordinary lead glass. The device is characterized in that the cylindrical ultraviolet source and two coaxial cylinders circumscribing it are mounted upright, in that a gap between the cylinders is increased, in that an upper annular plug is specially designed and finally in that a shield moves along the ultraviolet radiation source so as to provide homogeneous irradiation of flowing blood and to protect blood components from mechanical and contact thermal destroy, to provide safety of medical staff.
