FIELD: machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: the device for adjustment of boring bar is secured just before mechanical treatment. The distance between the point located on the boring bar on the location cylindrical surface and the stop to be found in the device is determined by means of a contact pickup installed in the device. Then misalignment of the boring bar and spindle is determined by means of a contactless pickup, which is positioned in the device near the first pickup. Then the table travel is determined. Then the spindle rises strictly upwards to the stop level, and the clamping mechanism in the boring bar releases the tool and takes the extreme position in the boring bar by means of a spring. Then the stop with the device and table moves by the value of table travel in the transverse direction towards the boring bar, the tool enters the boring bar under the pressure of the stop, the table stops and the tool is secured in the boring bar on the necessary size by the clamping mechanism. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 3 cl, 2 dwg
